Had a long weekend away with my girlfriend for 3 nights in East Devon. Managed to do lots in the local area, but never felt busy or overwhelmed. It was lovely.

Not only a fantastic morning with loads of donkeys, but really easy to get to, free and some great walks around as well.
Lovely pebbly beach with great weather and some fantastic cliff walks as well. Looked like a nice restaurant by the beach, although didn't eat here.
Great drinks, really friendly bar staff. It was full as well on a Monday night so a really good atmosphere all round. Had some great food as well - the Broccoli and Blue Cheese soup was amazing.
Recommended here by the AirBnB people we were staying with. Not disappointed at all. Great wood burning fire, amazing warm scones and two types of homemade jam with clotted cream. Such a good hour of relaxation in some armchairs.
A really lovely farm shop that sells everything you would imagine and more. A great range of fresh fruit and veg - some of which we had never heard of. Sold gifts as well as all other items such as local gins. Not cheap but such a lovely place that even if you don't buy anything you should come just to explore and admire the aesthetic.
